Participants in the Safe Zone workshop will be provided with a better understanding of LGBTQ+ identities, how to embody the principles of being a Safe Zone in their everyday lives, first-hand knowledge of LGBTQ+ experiences, clear and ready-to-utilize tools to provide a safe and affirmative space to marginalized communities and a space to ask any questions.

IHS and Eastridge High students - safely dispose of your vape devices in the anonymous drop box located in the counseling center! Resources for quitting vaping will be available. Participants are eligible for a gift card!

Uplift will be attending the Town of Irondequoit’s Senior Health Expo. We will be providing medication safety information and how to properly dispose of any expired or no longer needed medication.

Irondequoit Police Department is hosting another National Night Out. Uplift will be in attendance to help educate community members on how to keep a substance safe home. We will also be providing our HIPS display for parents/caregivers of youth to take a walk through and see what current substances are popular with youth today.

Sully Branch Library is hosting as Family Health and Fitness Fair. Uplift will be attending to help educate community members on substance use prevention practices for youth. Stop by our table for information and materials!

Uplift will be attending Roger Middle School’s Celebration of Students. We will be handing out substance use prevention materials. If you are a parent or guardian of a student who attends Roger’s, stop by and say hi!

Properly dispose of old or unused medication by bringing it to the Irondequoit Police Department!

Feel free to dispose of any e-cigarettes or vapes that you no longer need or use.

American Lung Association will be doing a nicotine and vaping 101 presentation to the PTA groups of Laurelton Pardee and Durand Eastman Intermediate Schools. Uplift Irondequoit will be there in support and be providing a walk through our Hidden in Plain Sight Display!

Uplift Irondequoit will be in attendance for Irondequoit Community Center’s Open House. We will be unveiling our community mural, come by and check it out!
